Intellectual Property Strategy, Technology Transfer & Licensing

Participants will learn how to protect their ideas through basics of IP law. Participants will also learn about the inner workings of technology transfer and licensing including finding the right partner and terms and conditions in a licensing agreement. Participants will learn about FDA requirements for different technologies as well as reimbursement strategies for coverage, coding and payment through the CMS and private insurers.

The market analysis will cover basics of primary and secondary market research, customer identification through market segmentation and sizing. Participants will learn how to select a target market. It will cover an analysis of the industry, which includes identifying competitors and substitutes in the market.

Participants will learn how to formulate and pitch new ideas, establish a good value proposition for their idea and to be able to communicate the value clearly and succinctly, in an elevator pitch format. Participants will also learn the concept of a Feasibility Analysis.
